Doesn't fade or dissolve in the washing machine; or a process that one can use to prevent a design from going through any of the latter problems?

If a ink is fading or falling off after a wash or 2 then its not fully cured. But after many washes water based or plastisol will eventually fade or crack. Sublimation will not and stays very bright for the life of the garment.

Thery could have many reason to fade because of fibrillation, curing and so on...
