Let's say I have a shirt and I don't want the tags in, but obviously I need the washing instructions etc. Can I take all the info on the tag and just print it myself in the neck of the shirt?
My understanding has always been it is fine. As long as your not using any of their logo's or direct text you should be fine. But honestly what blank company is going to get upset that your telling people how to properly care their garment?
You need all of the information on the tag (well... 85% of it), as mandated by the FTC.
But yes, you can remove the tags that are there and replace them with a different permanent tag. What you're proposing is fine, so long as you copy across the RN, country of origin, care instructions, etc.
