I don't have anywhere to store inventory so I'm wondering if it's better to just order enough shirts for our sample sale and photo shoot for our website and then order shirts as orders come in

Yea I'm in atlantaI guess if you don't have room, then you don't have any choice!
It takes me a week to 2 weeks to get my blanks to where I live, so that has an impact on turnaround times, but if you live in the States, it will be much quicker.
Infact, I'd rather not tie up all my cash in stock that may not be bought. I know of 1 printer who had about 70% waste on shirts that rotted and got stained because they were just sitting on the shelves for so long!
Once you know your sales numbers, you can up your stock levels to suit
