I'm new to screen printing so I'm still researching into things to buy.

I hear people mentioning Neenah inkjet paper, Jetpro soft stretch, 3-G opaque paper, so I was wondering if you need quality transparency papers when it comes to water based ink screen printing? Also, which film do you use for your screen printing?

Yes, you want good quality film when making your film positives. Waterproof film, preferably.
If you use low quality with poor transparency and an ink deposit that's not opaque, you can't end up with good results when you expose your screens.
