Is a 13 x 19" print capability necessary?

I am getting ready to purchase 2 Epson printers. One for sublimation and one for pigment inks. I plan to buy all the inks from CobraInk. Is it beneficial to purchase the larger format printer(up to 13x19), or is the standard size fine? I plan to use these primarily for tshirt transfers, but with the sublimation printer, Id like to branch out into more products eventually. Thanks! :)

I think you would find the 8.5 x __ size quite limiting. I screen print, and my typical design is 10 x 13, with some being 12 x 16.

I would recommend the 13x19. I have an Epson wf7610 and use 13x19 stock more than any other size. Not only does it allow you to offer larger products (such as 12x18 signs) but also gives you the ability to multi-up images when printing. For example, you could print 2 license plates and 2 coasters on one sheet. Plus if I remember correctly the price difference is not that great, so why not? Good luck!

Get the big one. You'll save time and money. Simply by being able to gang your images on 1 page.

The larger printers cost so little more that even if you think you will never used the 13"x19" paper (or 11"x17") get it. Later you will find things you want to do that will require you to print larger then 8.5"x11" and get the larger one later. Save yourself some time and money and just do it from the start.

What area in MI are you in?

I ordered from the Canadian site when it was on sale and had it in two days.

EDIT: I'm across the river lol

That is a good price on the printer.

I spend many night in my youth drunk in your fine city.
(For those that dont know, drinking age in the US is 21 and in Canada it is 19) I could leave my place and be in Windsor in about 20 mins. This is all way before enhanced ids and all that fun stuff.

We use an Epson with 24" roll. Under 3K new and we love it. Many of our prints are 15" wide x 15" high so...Also we do other work which takes larger capacity so for us a no brainer. We are located in Casnovia MI not far from you! You will regret not going at least 13 x 19.
