IronClad iPhone 5S inserts from Conde running small?

Was that just a fluke or everyone seems that the inserts are about 3/32" too small when compared to a regular aluminum insert.

That is a part# ICC0004W for a Dauphin iPhone 5/5S rubber cases?
All other ones are OK, for iP5C and S4 that I used.

They are trying to sell me that I'm installing them incorrectly and that is why I have excess area around the inserts.
I know that I install the correctly, but I'm wandering if everyone else noticed the issue.

Thanks

I guess picture is worth a 1000 words :)

Blue is the ICC0004W insert and the black/white under it is a regular DynaSub aluminum insert DS030W which fits perfectly into the rubber Dauphin cases

Notice the thickness of the material around the camera opening.

I don't use inserts from Conde but did you use the cases that came shipped with the Ironclad inserts? I've noticed that different vendors use slightly different sizes for the inserts so you have no choice but to use the case that comes with them.

They sell separately, cases and inserts. I bought the inserts for a correct cases. They have only one rubber Dauphin case (In multiple colors) Rubber iPhone 5 Covers - DyeTrans.com
And it states that those fit the case.
I am very frustrated with these inserts - specifically, for the Galaxy S5 and no, they don't line up correctly. I have to REALLY work to get them stretched enough to fit. I don't think it's just you.
how does it look with the case not with the aluminum insert.take a picture with it lined up on the case
I don't think the difference would be very easy to see on a photo unless you do closeups... it's just a TINY bit, but enough to be annoying. If I put an insert on the case while the peel strip is still intact and it isn't sticky, but once the peel strip is off and I'm sticking on the insert, it is a lot harder because it doesn't move around at all.

My biggest annoyance with them is not actually the super tight fit, but actually the different time/temp/pressure that's required for them. I press phone cases at local shows and I'm still undecided if I'm going to keep doing the shows because I can't keep changing the temp, time and pressure all the time.
I think I'm done with those inserts and Conde all together.
I just can not mess with them no more.
I can not believe that they would put something like that on the market without even noticing the size issue. And then when I called them they tried to "teach me" how to print and install them.

Also, their "In Stock" notification seems to be there permanently now. Still not receiving everything I ordered even after the "in Stock" sign was on.

I have really liked them up until this point but it has truly thrown me for a wrench, because I really think the plastic inserts are inferior but they are the only ones available for the GS5 and (will be) for iPhone 6. I don't think I could ever leave, mainly because I can't find anywhere else that has the Brookley (tough/hybrid) cases and they outsell the other types for me bigtime.
Found out Conde will only be using these plastic backings for the iphone 6 and Samsung phones because of the NFC apple pay.

They say it will interfere with the reception.

Not really sure if the aluminum will actually interfere with the signal significantly.

Isnt the actual phone aluminum?

Someone will probably need to do tests with the Apple Pay and an aluminum backing to see if the backing blocks the signal.

Not too happy about the plastic inserts.
I'm waiting for my iPhone 6 plus. I can check when the cases come out. I remember something about the aluminum being an issue with the iPhone 4 cases, but that was disproved. I'm curious to see what happens with the new iPay.
I love the idea of IronClad inserts, but get them right before you throw them out on the market.
And get the stock issue finally solved.

Yes please, let us know! I keep using them because I don't want it to come back and bite me on the GS5s but I'd much rather use the aluminum inserts if I can.

Will do. I've used the aluminum inserts on the Galaxy S5's for a while with absolutely no complaints. I didn't even know you had to use the ironclad with those. Do you know why they are required for the S5?

I just realized that if anyone updates to Apple IOS 8, they have the pay system now. I haven't had anyone come back to me with complaints.

Sorry to hijack the thread!

When Conde first came out with the IPads and the iPad mini cases, there were fit issues as well. I had to send my stock back.
I talked to Coastal today, they are working on ordering the iPhone 6 cases and they will be including the aluminum inserts.
