I just registered this evening and it looks like I have many nights of reading to do as this forums has an incredible amount of information in it.

My background is catalog fulfillment operations and five of those years were spent with a large fashion company in NYC.

I have no experience in design or printing, but I'm a creative person and want to learn.

I've purchased Adobe Illustrator and I've started learning how to take some the many ideas in my head and turn them into real designs.

I expect to use this forum as a great resource.

You know, that term is really outdated. It's more commonly referred to now as multi-channel merchandising. Any company that sells to the consumer and fulfills the product from their own warehouses or retail stores (or third-party).

If they have a catalog, Internet store, retail store or any combination of the three that ships their products to the end consumer.

Delia*s, PC Mall and Musician's Friend are some examples of ones that I have worked for.

My interest in t-shirts has nothing to do with this, though. I am in this for personal, creative reasons. To do something for fun.
