Inside tags (digital) - how to properly pre-treat?

I have a digital printer (HMC-1) and I want to print the inside tags for my shirts but I don't know if I should pretreat it first and how much since we have a pre-treatment machine I am afraid it's going to do the whole inside shirt. Does anyone know how to make it a better and easier process?
