What's your exoeriance with either of these?

I have both but my laser printer is on the fritz. Is there a quality difference between the 2 prints? Is it easier to get a print to turn out? I'm having some issues with results and I don't know wher to start. Thanks for the tips

toner doesnt flex .
ink is liquid toner is powder.

Both can do just about everything the other one can.

I would like to play with an okidata with white toner though...

Check each machine resolution. Anything over 300dpi is good enough for textiles.

I would do inkjet if your a noob. Get a nice epson wf 7xxx for $150 with a ciss from printpayless and ONLY USE pigment ink never uv dye ink. Never. Shame on anyone who sells a customer uv dye ink on a t shirt. shame shame shame.

So Epson $150 + CISS $30~ empty because they only come pre filled with UV dye. Then head over to Nano digital ink specialist and buy some good ultracolor pigment ink for a very sweet price.

Invest in refillable cartridges and fill them with alcohol so you can flush the clog in the print head.

I understand alcohol isnt the best idea but its a $150 printer it is going to crap on you in so many other ways before the print head even stops aligning.

Look into dye sublimation also thats only for inkjet.

Look into imageclip for laser

I've got dura cotton and 10 second knockout (at least are the 2 I've played with so far any tips for press settings? My results are really varying and the waste is scary. I just want consistent results so I can start attempting to sell lol. Thanks again

No "tips"

You have to watch youtube videos of people cutting and applying vinyl to shirts. Change pressure , heat , time , and see the difference.

You gotta keep playing with it !

Two things: 1. You (usually) have to contour cut around ink jet transfers.

2. Laser is more expensive.

For me (starting out) it's easy to decide. I already have a laser printer, so I'll start with that and move on as I grow.
