Hi Guys, New to the Forum so just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Wayne, and I am co-owner of a clothing brand called Ink Stained Apparel. I don't want to go against the forum guidelines and promote my business here, so I'l just give a brief explanation of what we do. We are a 100% American made business, so our shirts are all made here in the USA, we get our shirts from a company called "Royal Apparel" and then we have a local print shop silk screen our images onto the shirt. My business partner creates all the artwork that we silk screen on our clothing. We have a cartoon line, a yoga line, and a line specific to areas and neighborhoods of Chicago. I look forward to spending some time on the forums chatting with you guys and checking out your stuff and if theres anything I can do to help you out. Since everyone here has probably been in the business longer than we have, I'd like to get your opinion on the following things.

Is there a cheaper USA made shirt seller than the one we currently buy from (Royal Apparel)

We heat press our tags onto the shirts, is there a good transfer paper thats inexpensive that you would recommend?

Your thoughts on our process? is there anything we are doing wrong/could improve on?

I'm not familiar with Royal's product, but some basics about buying if you haven't already been involved in it.

Ensure you are set up as a reseller, both through your printer and your supplier (Royal in this case), you don't want to pay tax on it when you should already be charging sales tax, generally you will also be classified differently by the company and may receive trade discounts. Talk with your supplier about their quantity/pricebreaks. Generally there's case price, then mill price. The latter might be out of reach for you at the moment, but you should always be going for at least case pricing.

You may also want to check with your printer if they will do your tagging for you.
