I am working with a high polyester material wich is black and has given me problems with dye migration. I am using a poly additive that drops my cure temp below 300. I am using a little buddy conveyor dryer. When the garmets exit the tunnel should there still be a little smoke or does this mean the ink temp is to hi. I also use a temp gun but it only reads ink surface temp.

I think a little smoke is normal

the best way to check it is with a temperature gun

they are around $50 usd on ebay
and well worth the investment.

Some smoke is OK, try running the shirt through the dryer befoer you print to get the moisture out.

I use the same dryer and there is a little smoke, but if it is a lot of smoke, then what I will do is turn the speed on the belt just a little to run the shirts though faster you might have your speed to low I sill run the temp. on high.

When I normally use the dryer I get a little but I was not sure about if it should be there at the lower temps. Thanks everyone for your help.
