In my opinion increasing a dst file by 25% is asking for trouble.
I would only increase a dst file by 10% maximum.
But you have the native file then you can go up to 25%. (eg) if you have an EMB file and you increase the file on wilcom, you would be ok with 25% but again each design would be different.

Depends on amount of size change.
If your original design was digitized for a left chest size,
You won't be able to just resize it to a jacket back without issues, if that is what you are asking.

It will probably need to be redigitized for the larger size.
But would need more info on the amount of change to give an accurate answer.

I tried to use the free stichera, but I can't open the emb file, so I use the dst; the logo was digitized for left chest side and most of the time I just want to resize 1 or 2 inch, because sometimes they look too small and text is hard to read.
Thank you for your reply

If you have EMB files, then use Wilcom's Trusizer software (FREE).
As the name suggests, it will allow you to resize a design, and export it in whatever format you require for your machine.

get it here --> Wilcom TrueSizer

You will need to join (no charge).

First you need to send the design to your digitizer at the size that you want it.
You can resize most DST logos by 10-15%. The rule of thumb is 20% but I don't think that is a good number. The best thing is to have your designs digitized in your native software. I have Pulse and only use digitizers that work with Pulse. Many say that they can give me a PXF file, which is the outline(resizable) file but unless it was digitized in my software it is not the same.
So use a digitizer that uses your software and then learn how to edit. You can than take a left chest and convert to a full back by adjusting the fill stitches, pull comp and underlay.
This will be your first step in digitizing.

We re-size dst files all of the time. Yes, it very much depends on the type of stitches and how the design was digitized as to whether it will handle being re-sized at all. True we seldom re-size by more than 25% and if lettering is involved - I usually re-do the lettering at the right size.

If the logo is the wrong size after getting it back from the digitizer, I would make them re-do it at the right size.
