I have recently noticed a ghosting of sharp edges in my DTG HM-1 prints as of late.

Is there a printhead alignment or task that should be done to resolve this?

I typically only notice this on some detail printing of vectors as well as in sharp text edges. Although, there is some ghosting effects on some of the other aspects of the images.

un group the image in your printing software and see if there is a 2nd layer and remove it

Yes the epson driver has a head alignment utility. If you have problems with text printing strange try convert text to curves.
