Hey all!

I've been running with gildan heavy cotton for my shop/t-shirt line for about a year and at the beginning it was all fine. I liked gildan's t-shirts and hoodies really much. But the last few months the quality of the t-shirts going is getting worse. Failed seams in the neck, loose threads allover the tshirts, uneven spunned, and so on.. Even sometimes a different colored thread sewn on the shirts. Really bad if its a RED thread on a white shirt.

I'm looking for another t-shirt by now. I have ordered some hanes 7000, but didnt realise "tagless" was a printed/transfered necktag. Fail.

Acctually the ONLY t-shirt I have hard-tested and really like is EP01 from Earth positive, and they cost the double as Gildan heavy cotton.

I have tried Gildan softstyle aswell. I like the shirt over all, bit its too short. Prints nice on the DTG tho. But hey. still a Gildan and 1 of 10 is garbage.

I need other options. I'm in Sweden, Europe and we dont really have much to choose from without importing from germany.

Do I need to double the money on each t-shirt to get a decent quality?

I need your inputs. Thanks!

This just a thought, but maybe you just need to change the place you're buying your Gildans from. It sounds like they are sending you some irregulars.

Bill, We buy our gildans directly from the swedish distrubutor. (Gildan) They aren't sending me 'some' irregulars. 90% of ALL are unacceptable in quality. We, or our customers, need better quality. Plus it takes alot of time of scanning every garment before printing on it, cut treads and so on.

Gildan just purchased Anvil ... so don't know of quality will decrease or not.
Ugh, that's terrible news.

As for the Gildan issues, they opened a factory in Haiti and the quality is awful. Not only do they look like irregulars but they are about 1/2 size smaller and the fabric is coarse; at least on the black ones I got in. Gildans are normally loose and comfortable on me but these new ones are tight and ill fitting. I will no longer order them. Got in a Jerzee H-Densi-t for testing, looks good so far.

I've been buying Gildan GI5000 tees from trendmark.se several times without any quality issues. Have to talked to them about it?
Fredrik, no. Not yet. We have Really much to do, but we have started to collect all bad shirts in a bucket. This weekend we will do a full
Inventory and scan all the shirts. There are a couple of thousands so it will take some time. Trendmark are great to work with'
