Hello, my name is Shane and I am very happy I found this forum. My wife and I are starting a screen printing business. I have always designed on computer (websites, etc) and have been self employed and most importantly...I love T-shirts. (always have).

I plan on starting small marketing to local schools and businesses and eventually getting into shipping to distant customers. I know there is a lot of competition out there and am worried "Is there enough room for us?". Its a big investment, and I would really like to hear comments from others in the business with their thoughts on starting in this industry at this time. (economy, market conditions, competition,etc).

Hey Shane, That is simply the biggest question facing us all. I've been in buiss, for almost 20 yrs. The economy is a big worry. At the same time I don't want to work for someone else, so I just work harder. Hope this helps.
