illustrator pathfinder issue with loss of details is driving me insane.


Im trying to subtract distress from object but always lose detail.

Left side is the original and right after pathfinder:

BTW The pathfinder is set to the lowest precision.

is it a raster distress?

illustrator pathfinder
does it find paths?
no, of course not, it is to weld, subtract, combine objects (arrange)
that sounds about right for an adobe product

cause if we talking about tracing, you will always lose details...

Not to mention both of those pictures looks like rasters to me... I just woke up, right now I am in a process to make some coffee, so I suspect I'm to weird right now, and I am missing something -.-
