I use corel. I am in the process of learning the new x6 release that I just got last week. Corel is easy to learn and there are a lot of macros and programs that you can purchase as attachments to corel. There are also a lot of tutorials for corel. For additional software to get to use with corel go to advancedtshirts.com. They are very affordable.

I have both and there are MANY forum threads here debating each. I feel personally for me that Corel was easier to learn and less expensive but either will serve you well if you spend some time and learn the software. There are tons of resources here and elsewhere to guide you through them. Let us know which one you decide on and what questions you have!

All valid comments. It comes down to what am I wanting to do with my business and what do I need to have to get there. Using my case as an example, I do not do more than 4 colors in house. I have a great guy I farm the technical stuff out to. Reason being, No time. I run 3 embroidery machines, a DTG and vinyl cutting/heat press stuff during the day and screen print at night/weekends. This guy is just starting out. I say get one or the other, get comfortable with it and expand your capabilities as your abilities and business grows.

I use both, both are great, I've had problems importing AI files in corel, I've had problems importing corel files in AI. If you need to deal with both, you pretty much need both.

I'd also add that this is akin to starting a thread on which religion is the true path, or Mac vs. x86 architectures, or vanilla or chocolate. Everyone knows chocolate is better.
