Well in my defense I did search the forum before I made this post but was unable to find anything along the lines of what I am looking for.

I just purchased a plotter and several rolls of vinyl from a shop that closed down and have no way to determine what kind of vinyl I have. Anybody have some advice here?

Sometimes there is a label inside the cardboard core the vinyl is rolled on.

Some more info about the shop that closed up might be helpful. If it was a small mom and pop type outfit it may be General Formulations. I hear they private label for a lot of different places. Come to think of it, in general, there's not that many vinyl manufacturers.

is there any kind of markings on the back of vinyl? or numbers or anything on the inside of the rolls?

Some of the tolls do have labels inside that have helped me find out what I have. Some are completely blank in all ways but the manufacturer logo on the backing. I have noticed some vinyls feel different to the touch more like cellulose and others seem a little thicker and softer. I really just want to find out what sort of outdoor life most of them have.
