Hello everyone!

This is my first post on here. Im sure all these questions have been asked before but if someone could shed some light on them i would be forever grateful!

So at the moment i run a studio in Portslade near Brighton in the UK i use a 6x6 vastex 2000 . Its an amazing bit of kit! I also use the EconRed 1 infa dryer.

So i use Wilflex plastisol at the moment. Im pretty happy with them. As far as plastisol goes.

Now i want to use waterbased inks and do discharge printing because i love the feel and look of them but i feel like its some big secret ! So here are my questions

1. Best waterbased inks?
2. Where do i get them from in the uk?
3. Whats the best method to cure them?
4. Can i cure them using my EconRed 1 Infa Dryer?
5. Whats the best Mesh Screen to use?
6. All the questions above but to do with Discharge inks?

I have many more but if anyone can shed some light on this it would be amazing!

Look forward to hearing from you and getting involved with the crew here.

Cheers

1. Best waterbased inks? Matsui and Sericol Tex-Charge (in my opinion)
2. Where do i get them from in the uk? not sure
3. Whats the best method to cure them? Gas dryer
4. Can i cure them using my EconRed 1 Infa Dryer? That is going to be touch considering the dryer is electric. Forced air would help but it will be difficult to properly cure the ink.
5. Whats the best Mesh Screen to use? 155 for 90% of jobs. Thin thread mesh helps with printing WB inks as well
6. All the questions above but to do with Discharge inks? Discharge is WB ink. You may want to add an extra 5% of water to the discharge for it will want to dry quicker. Also, keep screen flooded and be sure you are ready to print without stopping if you are using halftones.

Good luck
