I want to start a clothing line

Hey, i want to start a t-shirt clothing line. I have various designs but I need a company that can do the heat-transfer, vinyl printing and embroidery for a small order at first and not charge a lot. I have looked for some manufacturers internationally, but their minimum amount of products ordered is a large number and I cannot afford that. Someone please tell me where I could probably get 30 shirts of each design printed. Thanks.

this needs to go in the refferal section. so that people will actually respond.
Good luck to you.
You have to understand that you're talking about a lot of set-up and work involved.
There's good reasons for minimums and the high prices for small numbers.

My best suggestion to you is to pick out your best few designs and start with those...order higher numbers to keep your prices lower.

Also, reduce the number of colors in your designs to save on costs.

There's no getting around pricing and minimums without having it cost you more for low numbers.

Don't give up, just change your approach....fewer start up designs....make sales.....build your cash flow.........then you can add designs.
Personally I wouldn't do all that work for a small order. You're gonna have to just deal with it.
Everybody is starting a line that will reap millions for the designer and the printer, if only they could get their hands on a few samples to start marketing.
On the other hand what you might want to do is crack your wallet for a large heat press, used if possible, and send your design files to a plastisol transfer company like Ace Transfer and have transfers professionally made. Heat press shirts the sizes you need as the orders come in.
That's about the least expensive way of getting started and you won't end up with a pile of shirts you can't sell and in sizes you can't wear. If you're talking about oversize prints, though, you're probably out of luck.
Good luck to you.

What are you considering a "few". Is that 3? 5? 10?
if only they could get their hands on a few samples to start marketing.

What does that mean for a company that is just starting out? Put out a company Tweet to no followers showing a picture of a tshirt that people MIGHT be able to buy in 6 months?

How would that be helpful?

What does that mean, "just deal with it". Do you want them to buy their own printing machine and do it themselves? I can't interpret what action you want this person to take to "just deal with it".

this is a 10 year-old post and some of these posters have not been here for almost that long
so if they don't respond is not a slight to you, they simply don't visit this site anymore

what this poster is saying to the original poster is that you can't have what you want,
nor should you even expect it

the original poster is trying to get someone to do copious amounts of work for peanuts
it is not realistic

as the other posters mentioned:
- buy a heatpress and get plastisol transfers
- spend the appropriate amount to get your marketing samples made, then when your cashflow improves from sales buy your own equipment

this is simply small-business 101
you find a way
you don't ask others to find your way and carry you on your way, and feed you while carrying you, and gently fan you while feeding and carrying you
