Hi everyone,
My name is Morgan.
I recently discovered this forum, and found that there are some who have purchased a printer from Austin Kennedy also known as John Kennedy. I am not getting the help I need from him and am wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me out? Does anyone have a recent version of his printer?
My printer is an Epson 1430.

Thank for answering.
He sent everything disassembled. I have a circuit board that I believes controls the print functions and a Power supply. On the board I have figured out how to wire the stepping motor and the limit switches on each end of the slider. but don't know how the board connects to the printer or where the power supply connects to the printer. I am posting an image of the board as it sits now and one close up of the board.
the 4 black wires in the corner control stop and single pass, but I don't know where to connect them. In the opposite corner there is a Red, Yellow and Black wire marked A Gnd and B. don't know what they connect to and in the middle on left beneath the four black wires are two black wires marked PE and A3 on the board that I have no idea about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My shot in the dark guess would be.

A = Encoder A signal from epson
B = Encoder B signal from Epson
GND = from Epson

Those can be found on the backside of the encoder wheel sensor. It's a pain to have to solder those and figure out what is what.

PE = would pe the Paper trigger sensor. I'd guess use A3 since that is the size of the printer.

Might be better to send back for a refund.

Thanks for the info.
What are you basing your shot in the dark on, if you don't mind me asking?
As far as a refund goes - He wont even text or call me on the phone. A refund is of of the question with him.
Years of experience and knowing that you need encoder input and also PE output to make a DTG controller work.

But really the guy that made it will be the only able to tell you for sure.
