Hey guys, our website is finally online www.hussatshirts.com , still working out a few little useability bugs. Its such a hassle getting something of this size online as something always goes missing/gets screwed up.

we've tried to make the e-commerce aspect as easy as it can be, but im sure there can be improvements made. any feedback is greatly appreciated

Looks good. Kudos for going with Ajax and making use of Google Analytics. I have to say that its seems very similar to Tshirthell.com... even down to the keywords. Nothing wrong with picking a model that works. Most of the shirts are spins on existing shirts.. which again is indusrty standard. So over all I would say you did you home work. If you have the back end printing worked out with a shop that can handle the onsie towsie stuff and your marketing is good.. I see a profit coming.

Kudos,
Cam

Everything you see on the site was designed by Rory and myself. All the site design all photography, all designs all tags all the backend and basically all marketing has been done by us with both of us working full time jobs and working on this in our free time. It has taken us a year of solid work with thousands of hours going into this but going by your feedback its all been worth it

We have specifically set out to NOT copy other shirts all are original designs done by us so im not sure why you say they are spins on existing designs? (not taking offense Im just curious and if you have seen others like it around? )

We want to keep that type of theme but we dont want to be ANOTHER one of those tshirt sites that rips off other designs thats not us.

We still have a tonne of ideas and things to do but i guess we are now that next step closer to being finished.

Thanks for the comments/opinions guys keep them coming as we take every bit of feedback into consideration

Hey, your site URL below leads to http://www.t-shirtforums.com/www.hussa.com.au

so you are getting a 404 on that. just FYI

I think your work is great. The site is great too and looks to be well coded. It was my job to spin shirts for a while and when I say spin.. I don't mean a verbatim rip.. but using elements from other shirts that work. Its a compliment really.

Again to use Tshirthell.com
T-Shirt Hell - Funny t-shirts, Funny shirts, Cool t-shirts, Cool shirts Crazy t-shirts, Crazy shirts!
and your site.. https://www.hussatshirts.com/tshirts/bigplayer.html

The type art seems very similar to me. The boombox from that same shirt is being used well in a bunch of designs right now.. Just type "boombox shirt" into google and click on the images option. That font is on dafont.com and a bunch of other type sites... I use it myself.

I am not trying to say you are cheating or thief'n anyone.. for me spinning is part of good design and I mean it as a compliment to your good planning and hard work.

another example: The F bunny shirt of yours.. reminds me of pornstar clothing.... Quotdo Youquot again not verbatim.. but using the good elements of.

I hope that clears it up a bit. I am really impressed with you work.

Thanks cam..ill check that link in my sig now its been awhile since ive used forums ;)

Thanks for the kind words mate...i see what you mean by spin now i just thought there may be other designs out there that were the same which hopefully isn't the case.

Ahh pornstar clothing..i havent seen one of their shirts since 1998 so they are still around?

Anyways thanks again for your compliments cam we appreciate your kind words and it really makes all those late nights and weekends working on this worthwhile when people appreciate what we have designed.

Thanks guys, its been a long hard road to get the whole thing up as it is. Myself and Alex have busted our chops to make the design side of things happen for this website. We have some new photos to shoot and content to update on the website but its coming along well.

Alot of the concepts we envisioned at the start, I had no idea how to acheive (ajax, php ect) but I knuckled down and figured it all out. We had some help to set up the store by a friend of ours who runs http://www.interactonline.com.au/

I had to figure out some php in the end to do more alterations and screw around with OScommerce. The site was originally meant to be 20 designs.. I'm glad it only ended up being 11 and a few coming soon.. because the work involved to alter and work with a site with so much content is just very overwhelming!

Cheers
