ht-400 heat press

I want to add dye sublimation to my current embroidery business. I am mostly interested in doing accessories like phone covers, Ipad covers, mouse pads, etc. for schools in my area.
Someone local has a used Hix ht-400 heat press. I have researched and it seems like a decent unit but will it work for dye sub? I noticed in the specs it only does items up to 5/8" thick. That doesn't seem like much but this is all new to me.
