Just learning this halftone stuff and my thought was a 200 mesh, film printed with accurip with 45lpi @ 22.5 angle. Would this yield a acceptable print?
i also use a CCI DXP Diazo-Photopolymer Dual Cure Direct Emulsion.

Digital !!! Because have shade around the strip in the design. If you need quality do digital!

If you did indeed post this here because you want to screen print it, instead of transfer or DTG, and you want an accurate print, you'd be doing some serious work to make it happen--I'd think a grey screen and a black screen would be almost mandatory for a good reproduction of this--mostly because of the very light grey areas.

Of course, it also depends on your definition of 'acceptable'.

I would like to screen print if its a reasonable option. DTG i dont have, transfers are expensive to order. 2 screens of black and gray is ok if this is best, how would i go about separating the image up black from gray though?

I'd be interested to know how you would approach the inverse, ie printing this with white/grey ink on a black shirt.

It can be easily separated in Photoshop

You can definitely do this with screenprinting.
You might even want to go with 50 or 55lpi and 22.5
I would most likely go with white, black and one to two grays.
