Are you asking how to determine which of Epson's cartridges goes in your particular printer? Or are you asking how to make a printer accept a non-compatible cartridge?
what i meant is if i want to use only yellow cartridge, how can i tell it to do so? juz like if i want to use only black cartridge i can set to print grayscale.
So your asking that if you wanted to put a yellow cartridge where another color normally is like black and tell the printer that it's now a yellow channel? If so I would think you would need a RIP to control the printer to fool it into believing the black is still in there but to print it as yellow.....problem is the Epsons normally have chips on their carts that are specific to a certain printer/color, you would have to fool the printer on that also I'd think.
Easiest way is to make the text/graphic color of your job yellow. This is done in the software you are using to print from.

Rips can print data to whatever channel they choose, so you can print with different coloured inks.
