Hi everyone!I'm a new guy in the business and constantly learning.I want to launch my first T-shirt and will manufacture in Asia.Just recently got sample from a supplier and print was low quality:
- edges were jagged
- ink was uneven and faded
- a few tiny holes here or there
My design is simple - just one ink on both sides of 100%cotton shirt.Method used - waterbase discharge.
To avoid issues with printing in the future,I'd like to get an advice from experienced printers regarding proven methods of preparing the screens and equipment used for high quality print.
I'd appreciate the guidance and it's a really important project for me and feel little lost right now.

I'm a bit confused. Are you doing the printing yourself? Or is someone else doing it for you? You mention Asia. If someone else is doing the printing for you they will know how to prepare a screen. It isn't always the screen. Sometimes it's the care that goes into the printing process. I care about good quality. Others don't, they just want to get their product out the door as quickly as possible. You will get the kind of quality you are willing to pay for.

I hope you realize that you aren't going to be able to dictate how they care for their screens or the kind of equipment they will use. You get what they have. You also realize that you are going to have to buy in huge quantities.. I'm talking thousands at a time. You might want to see if you'll even have any interest in your design first before investing that much in bulk quantities.
