So I know how to type on a path. And that wouldn't give me exactly what I want. I the top to be rounded and the bottom to be flat. Im trying to make it fit inside a ball. I found a picture and I want the text to look exactly like this. I'm using illustrator. Thanks to all!

I don't use illustrator, but got should be able to use something like an envelope tool and arc the top/bottom. Our maybe illustrator has an arc tool

I think you can achieve something like this with the Arc effects. In Illustrator you can find them in Effect -> Warp -> Arc Lower (and Arc Upper).
And play around with their settings.
I attached a picture I made with these effects in couple of minutes. You should get a better result with more effort. Hope this helps!

Yes thats it! I used what you said and went to youtube and it showed me exactly what I wanted! THank you! Now time to just play with it and figure it out 100% lol Wish me luck....

Hey Niko, how did you keep the bottom of baseball flat and the top of mom flat? When I do the arc upper or arc lower it rounds both the top and bottom.

It should be flat automatically when you use Arc upper or arc lower.. The "Arc" rounds top and bottom.

Hmm yeah I did the upper and lower. I even divided the baseball and mom into two different text windows, also tried it with text outlined, same thing.... And i made sure the baseball had the upper arc and the mom had the lower arc.... This is odd. Ill keep playing with it and see what happens. Maybe it was the font I used?

Do it in two stages. Arc just the top of baseball. Then do Mom and arc just the bottom, then combine and size

Alright I got it right, but I wanted to use this for a vinyl cutter. When I go type-create outlines it outlines the original text not the arced text how do I do that?

I believe you want to "create outline". I'm on my iPad right now and can't remember where it us. Sorry.

Edit: Try right clicking on the text.
