ok first of all, thanks to everyone on this forum, for me its been the holy grail for info on this screen printing journey of endless and always changing knowledge, thank you.. with that..

im doing some halftones and im trying to keep the outlines sharp of a logo that has halftones on the inside but a nice sharp outline around letters. is there a way to keep those solid lines while converting it to halftones, or is the only way to save a copy of the outline before half-toning it, and then merge that layer back on top of the image before printing the film? if that makes sense..

sorry i don't understand that, what exactly am i supposed to DO. "100% solid black for outline" is what i need as a result - how do i get there.
If it's 100% solid black there can be NO halftone. In other words if the line around the text is like dark grey or charcoal (almost black) then you will get some halftoning ....make sure the lines or stroke is solid black and you will be fine. If not you can always save the line as a layer and then merge back over the halftone.
