I have had my sprint about 2 months now and I am having an issue which I can't seem to fix. The issue is if I don't print for a day or two I notice that cleaning fluid seems to suck into my white ink lines. It takes several printhead cleans and white print purges for me to get a good thick white again. Is there any way to prevent this or a daily cleaning method that can help reduce this?

Currently I do not do a daily clean, only the weekly clean.

Thanks for all the help,
Michael

I get that with my DTG machines sometimes too. One of them does it with white and the other machine does it BAD with Yellow? Which is pretty odd only yellow? but its gone up the ink line about 8-12 inches and thats a pretty good amount of ink factoring in the high capacity dampers im using, the printhead, the ink line. So wasteful and I leave it on so it cycles every 6 hours I believe running auto head cleans.

It sounds more like your white ink is separating...not that you are sucking cleaning fluid into the lines. If you don't print for a few days does the ink leading into the print head look kind of clear? That is the actual carrier separated from the white pigment in the ink. Make sure that your auto maintenance is set to every 8-12 hours and that your humidity is around 50%. This will LESSEN this from happening but will not completely prevent it. If I don't print with white for a few days it will take printing a few shirts before the ink is properly agitated and mixed back together inside the lines. Instead of wasting a few shirts I'll usually run the first dark shirt of the day on superfine just to get the ink flowing. You can also just do a print head clean or 2 and it will help. Printing everyday would also prevent this but that is not always possible.

I use the 12 hour auto clean cycle. My humidity level usually runs at 65%. White does look clear in the front part of the tubes closer to the head, so it could be the ink seperating. Is there any method to help prevent this? How often should I shake the white ink?

Thanks
