I got my first tax free sale coming up, do I just get a copy of their tax id form so I can have proof when i file my quarterly tax earning? Thanks

It's probably best to talk with your account or lawyer to see how your state handles it.
Also Check with the State to make sure the Tax Exemption is current so you don't get burned come next tax season
Looked into that issue here in Texas. The Comptroller of Public Accounts (local sales tax office) gave me a form (can be downloaded from the internet) that the customer signs and you just keep it on file. On the quarterly state report you have to list total sales, deduct sales tax exempt sales then calculate the owed tax. Check with your state Comptroller. Hope this helps. :):):)

Also make sure that what you are selling to them they are allowed to get tax free. It's late, am I making sense?
