i am new to t-shirt graphics. can anyone tell me how to convert bitmaps to vector graphics?

If you have AI. or Corel or Flexi you have a trace feature. Online you should check out vector magic or the vector doctor if you just cant make it happen.

you need a special program for that...either Corel Draw, Illustrator..both of which have bitmap tracing options..sometimes they work okay...sometimes not and take some 'tweaking' and sometimes do not end well. If you need to have it done, there are several places you can get done for $15-$25. I would suggest looking at Vector Magic | Precision Bitmap to Vector Conversion Online This is an online conversion service and is usually pretty good. They6 have a monthly plan of about $8 a month for unlimited use...you can try it for free..you just can't download the result.
