Hi,

I'm looking for a way to get the same screenprint "effect" as the Ralph Lauren t-shirts. As you can see in the image attachments, the print is "smooth", rich in color, and it also has a "puffy" feel. The regular plastisol print (attachment 4), feels rough and you could still see the shirts color "underneath" the print.

Any help? Thanks.

Hi, Looks like u need to PFP. I stir ink with a drill for about 3 mins on low speed. Also I add a little reducer to white ink. Make sure the ink is clearing the screen. I print white ink with a 155, & it looks great, & smooth on 100% cotton shirts. If the print is bold i use a 110. Hope this helps

Remember the basics. Print with your squeegie angle high so you shear the ink from the screen (make sure your squeegie blades are sharp). Set your off contact to 1/16" to 1/8". Curable reducer can help if your ink is stiff. You will need to PFP to get a really good opaque print. You can try a little puff additive in your ink. If you like the results, that's another tool in your box.
