HI All,
Please help me to design the attached thumbnail in adobe photoshop.How this red white colored negative effect is made in photoshop and which printing i should go for. Please suggest.

Just go to "image>adjustments>desaturate" then "image>adjustments>invert" If you learn the basics of photoshop it would be a pretty easy task. I'd recommend it.

Look up "Visual QuickStart Guide" by peachpit press for whatever version of photoshop you are using. A good book for ramping up to speed pretty quickly

To more specifically answer your question on how they did that design in step by step detail....

They took a photo converted it to grayscale (Image>Mode>Grayscale) then adjusted the levels to get most of the mediums out of the photo and leave it pretty open (Image>Adjustments>Levels).

They then had a copy of the original adjusted grayscale photo in the top layer and just sliced a portion of it and threw away the rest of that layer. Of course this is inverted from the image being used on the lower layer (Image>Adjustments>Invert).

That should get you 99% there. They did some fine tuning along the way.

It also just looks like a mockup and it actually isnt printed. However, it would be done as a 2 color screen print on a red shirt. Pretty simple design and easily separated for print.
