I am buying my first real printing press soon (have a DIY now). I was first looking to get new stuff so I don't get a lemon.
However, others have suggested I'd do better buying used. I've found some used presses within 2-4 hours drive. Would anyone like to tell me what to look for and what to avoid when getting a used press?
So far I have a couple of requirements:
1. moving parts must move well.
2. no bashes, gouges, or other evidence of abuse
3. clean? This assumes that if the owner cleaned the press after using maybe the press was treated well??
