I was wondering if there a "general rule of thumb" of how much a discount I could expect when purchasing equipment at a trade show (like a DTG machine). Are you able to negotiate much (like we do when purchasing vehicles).

I can only speak to what we do on some items. We usually do a 20% discount on show specials. The customer also saves shipping fees because they take the product right there at the show.

Of course, all of that has been on smaller items so far. I'm not sure how that will work if and when we start taking machines to shows.

maybe 10-20 percent on show demos only...expect very little if ordering for later delivery..If you do buy a demo...you need to tell them early on and be prepared to wait until the show is over to pick up...that has been my experience
