I am starting a new line and am wondering how many styles do I need and how many of each style should I get printed?

Thanks

At least 5 styles and no more than 10 per style untill you test the market.

Your not.printing them? Well short runs will hit the wallet hard. Get at least 24 per style to catch that quantity price break. Do you already have a printer in mind?

yes i have a printer in mind. i don't know how to print myself :-(
keep your quantities as low as possible..what might you think will be a HOT seller may not appeal to the public. I know a person who made that mistake with several of his designs..Nice designs but just didn't have a market for them in the area. Now he is stuck with several hundred shirts and no buyers.
I don't understand why people don't consider print on demand more, you can find places that do shirts for 12$ each per print. Then when you build up your wallet you can think about switching, if that's what you absolutely want or if it's cheaper in fact.
The downside to POD is that you can't generally do an entire shirt, that seems to be a passing fad to me though. ie, affliction etc., Meh..

could you list the websites to some of those places.

I'm not going to list them in the thread because that's not really fair to the companies that advertise on here...sorry, not trying to be ****ty at all. Just not sure that's allowed.
You can do a quick Google search for print on demand tshirt companies and find a ton.
Do you really mean $12 or .12 cents..?

I like to put the $ after the number, not sure why (Yeah, this has actually gotten one Craigslist post of mine flagged..)..lol Anyway, unfortunately I haven't found anyone who only wants 12 cents.

$12.00

That's a typical start, of course you're going to be adding as an example $2.00 for a larger print (for where I'm at 12x12 is the base size), another $2.00 for an XXL, and maybe $1.00 for dark colors with light prints.

Many will do hoodies, or any other type of shirts you want. I'm sure there may be cheaper than $12.00 per print, but I had to consider shipping times, integrated shopping carts etc..

Maybe another day in the far future I'll be able to print larger quantities and have $5.00 or whatever wrapped in a product that I know will sell as opposed to $12.00, but you can't lose money if you don't have overhead.
