Hello guys,

I just wanted to know how do you guys get rid of the blank parts on a transfer. I'm currently selling shirts. Decided to make my shirts by my own and researching about it. I made my first trial at home. I bought a transfer paper from walmart then printed on it with my printer then pressed it on an old shirt of mine with an iron. The problem is the blank parts came up in white color. I don't want to see anything on blank parts I want them to be blank. How can I do it and how do you guys handle this problem?

Thanks for help

you have a couple choices...one...get a decent transfer paper...walmart is not the place..and trying to press a transfer with an iron is an exercise in futility...will not hold and will wash out easily...

as to the white...blank...spots in an inkjet transfer, you have to either have a cutter that will do contour cuts or use something like an exacto knife to manually cut them out.....there are papers that require a two step process that will eliminate the white...I think they have one for inkjets...and then there are laser prints on certain printers that will not leave the mark...but it sounds like you may not be ready for DIY transfers...you should have a heat press, probably a cutter... there is a lot of information on this forum about inkjet transfers...check them out, they are very helpful when starting out
