Just wondering how you all deal with uneven surfaces?..
Printing on the back of vnecks I usually end up with a bump at the tip of the v and if im not careful it will usually hit the print head. Same goes for sleeves. At the moment I'm manually adjusting the height while the machine is printing to keep the print head as close to the garment as possible.

Cheers

Set the printhead height off the high point (stop the y-axis travel so the sensor light is over the collor/seam) and then finish loading the head. This will prevent head strikes. Secondarily you could load as normal and then bump the bed down a little to compensate for the problem as well.

Hope this helps!

ah...got tied up forgot to answer this...
I'm on the Kiosk1. Seems to be a lot of manual adjustments if im not printing on anything other than a pure flat surface.
Also curing on the heatpress, lumps in the fabric result in different pressure across the fabric giving an inconsistant result. (eg on the back of vnecks where im printing on the back where the V is on the front)..

We have created slip "boards" that allow the v-neck to fall into a cut out spot. This allows the printhead to stay at the proper printing height. We also built some of our own platens that allow us to load the shirts the same as you would on a standard screen print press. When curing the garments slide the garment on the platen don't lay it on top and this will fix the issue with the front collor showing thru after pressing.

we cut up a set of mouse pads to flatten out the shirts. they either go inside or outside the shirt depending on the type of shirt and print location.
