Need help applying a choke to a white underbase in illustrator. I know I've done it before and it's simple, I just cant find it! Please help.

not sure I understand what you're saying. how to I modify the selection to select the inverse?

In llly , to "Choke" just put a white stroke on it. The more you put on, the more is choked off of the object
