How do I set up my ink bags?

1292 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  SuicideCharley
Ok, I have my new DTG but no instructions on how to set up the bags. What I mean is I have Yellow, Black (Matte), Cyan, Red and White. Now, obviously I can match the colors but what about the three that are left Orange, Magenta, and PHOTO Black. Do I make all those white? Also, do I need to change the properties in the RIP and or Printer to reflect these changes?

HELP! I want to PRINT SOMETHING!! LOL:D

The one that came with my printer LOL. I have no idea on the brand of the bags, no descriptors. Seller is closed obviously so I just thought I'd throw it out there to see if there is a standard bag loading procedure.
Hi,

There's almost always a proper, manufacturer-set order to how you should load the inks. The driver in your RIP is set to work with this particular order. Of course, because it is set by the manufacturer, there's not really an easy way for us to tell you which way to load them without knowing what kind of printer you have or what kind of RIP.

Did you receive a manual with this printer? You can probably find the order of the inks in the manual. You will have four channels for CMYK, and the other 4 will be devoted to white.

Or 3 .. If you got the "good" bag kit then it would be three or four lines feeding into one bag.

Are the bags blank? Is there any name on them at all?
