I have gimp and silhouette studio. How do I make a box like the one here client wants it in grey? It’s driving me crazy i haven’t been able to do it.

use brush stroke images from free vector sites online. That's how I would knock it out.

Watercolor background with a brush-stroke mask.
Converting any watercolor background to grey is easy... simply de-saturate it.
Then you can darken it if required.

it looks like the plasma render in gimp (filters - render - noise - plasma)
then simply add/subtract your brush strokes off the edges

like TABOB said, desaturate for grey and adjust from there (color/contrast/color channel mixer/etc.)

Y’all are goated me and my sister ended up using Canva pro and multiple brush strokes. The client was very happy.

I like the thicker brush-strokes.

I think it came out better too.We used Canva to remove background and the actual thick brush strokes were on Canva if anyone else needs this.

Make use of brush stroke pictures that can be found for free on internet vector sources. In that manner, I would put an end to it.
