I'm am using Design Studio for Melco. I've downloaded the font, unzipped it, but I'm not sure what to do next. Any help would be super appreciated. Still learning....
If you are using windows right click on the file then click install. Or click copy. Go to Windows then right click Fonts folder and click paste.

You all are missing the point. He wants embroidery fonts. I don't use your software but the one I do use can auto digitize fonts and it does a pretty good job with it. Your other option is to do it yourself or purchase extra font packs for your software.

dafont worked just fine. I was trying to download a digitized font I bought on-line, I didn't realize fonts just worked for embroidery. I'm still a newbie!
Yup you can digitize just about any font with embroidery software. Even the cheapest intro level digitizing software that came with my single head 9 needles SWF embroidery machine does pretty good job with dafont fonts. Of course pre digitized fonts are optimized for embroidery if it is compatible or installs without issue.

Generally, you would have to import a predigitized font into your software one letter at a time. There are methods to convert these to a "true type" font so you can just type them in, but it is time consuming and could require another piece of software.
