I've seen a lot of tees that have floral swirls as a backdrop. They tend to to be dark grey and low opacity. I have an image that I would like to do that with but not sure how to achieve that look. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I have attached a copy of the artwork I want to do this with.

for this you would use a bunch of curable reducer and a little white... there is a video of this on youtube and if i can find it ill post the link

I'm just starting so all I have is an old version of Photoshop (7).

well you can do it in photoshop by picking your background elements and reduce the opacity through the opacity window, which then would produce the diminished object and separate into hlaftones of a solid object

or just use the printing method of thinning the ink or adding a reducer to the ink.

Here is a picture of the actual image on a tee. I used a grey ink and curable reducer mix to get the low opacity on the swirls in the background. Thanks for the info guys.
