How can you have white ink on a black t-shirt with a CIS system?

Hey everyone I'm a newbie to shirt making. I've done a little research into this subject. I was looking at a CIS printer and the ink. I was wondering how one would be able to have white ink on a shirt. Also onto a black shirt. I noticed most ink systems have 4 colors, basically red, yellow, blue and black. There may be a simple answer out there, but I am clueless. Sorry and thanks.

You can't use white ink for inkjet transfers.

For dark t-shirts you either need to use opaque transfer paper or order plastisol transfers from a vendor. If you have a vinyl cutter you could also use t-shirt vinyl
