How are you photographing your T-Shirts for online sales?

Shy of hiring models, how are you photographing your finished shirts for online sales? I want to group product for front page images, ads, etc.

Being that I offer tropical product, my thought was go to the beach. Never seems to work out. Tough with the angle of the sun, shadows, wind, etc. It is like I need professional equipment down to the white umbrellas.

Any good resources out there for basic photography lessons?

Thanks!

Consider getting a beach theme wall mural for doing your photography. You'll find lots by googling them.

When having problems shooting at the beach invest in some cheap reflectors.... Have a person hold them to shine back at model to get rid of the shadows.... They are cheap on amazon and will improve your pictures tremendously... As for hiring models, I have no problem finding people to model them by paying them with the shirt they model.... Don't focus too mush on a model that has to be perfect, make up, fun, sexy shoots work with all people. And having "real" people getting their picture taking while having fun in your clothes makes great online images.... Experiment, have fun.... I have had some girls love their pictures so much they can't wait to do another sexy fun cute modeling job....
Check out a store on Etsy called 1AEON, I found them awhile back and it inspired me on how to shoot a bit more sexy with every day people....

Yep. That's my suggestion. No wind. Complete control over the lighting. Etc. Consider doing some online searching for photography backgrounds.
