I have been looking at this Epson sure color 2000. If sales keep going the way they are going I think I may purchase the Epson very soon. How do you all feel the quality is compared to others ? Also the maintenance, How have that been so far ? Does this Printer use more or less ink to get similar results on other printers ?

I would basically like to know if it was worth making a switch from the printer you were using before the switch. TIA

Maintenance is ridiculously easy. Ask quick as cleaning your ears with a q-tip.

I'm impressed with overall quality, and to be honest I'm thrilled with the speed and overall quality the machine is itself. IT FEELS like a a Ferrari. Its dope. Get one.

Do the Epson printers have their own pretreat like the other brands?

Yes, Epson does have their own pre-treatment fluid.

Even though Epson has their own pretreatment, it can be used with other pretreat formulas. I will say, though, with the several I've tested, the Epson seems to perform the best with their inks.
First went smooth. Simple interface and Virgin print came out pretty fantastic for first try.

Looking forward to being able to realize all my creative ideas finally.
As usual Jerid from BelQuette has been a great support

Let me say something about Jerid Hill. He is extremely professional and helpful. Jerid has helped me with a lot of questions, spent hours on the phone with me and has offered his full support. Here's the catch though..... He spent all that time and customer service with me not asking for a single penny nor wavered his support for me when I ordered my printer through a vendor closer to my shop. I have the utmost respect and confidence that Jerid Hill is in fact one of THE BEST suppliers for the F2000. Belquette and Jerid offer great customer care and overall expertise. Definitely go through him if you want 100% confidence in your supplier of the F2000.

Wow, thanks! It's appreciated. Being in the industry since the beginning, it's always great to see the advancements and we're always happy to help!
I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these, but in the mean time I have a question for the pros on this site. I currently have a Velocity Jet XL that I run on a 2yr old CPU. It has been recommended that I should have another CPU to run the Epson, and I was wondering if there was a particular brand best suited for the Epson?

There wouldn't be any need to run another computer. The printer is easily networked. If you had 10 (or more) printers, they all could be printed from the same PC.
Sounds good. Would I be able to run both machines simultaneous with only 4 M ?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by 4 M?
Sorry I meant to say 4 Gigs of RAM
I'd have to look at the specs of the software, but 4G of ram should be fine. You will only be sending one print at a time anyway.
I'm a believer.
Straight out the box, slight pop in photoshop, slight, I mean slight.

The VelociJet XL needs more processing power as the microweaving is done in software, while on the F2000 if using GC its done in the printer.
Memory isn't really the big issue, CPU and fast hard disc (SSD drives are a good idea).

Bets regards
