I have the Hotronix 16 X 20 heat press and all of the sudden, I can't get it to stay closed. The knob we turn to increase/decrease the pressure still turns but doesn't make a bit of difference on the pressure. There is a bolt right behind this knob, does this have anything to do with it?

Its 3 years old.

It seems that the knob you turn to control the pressure isn't affecting the pressure at all...it is exremely high pressure...so high it won't stay closed...no matter where the knob is turned to.

More than likely your shocks have worn out..the 2 black and silver shocks located on both sides of the press probably need to be replaced. You can call Stahls or search here in the forum there was someone who found an alternative place to buy shocks.
