Some background:
We have the HM1 with Printpro software and just starting our home bases business. We have a couple of questions please:
White 100% cotton shirts
FastCOLOR vs double pass at 720x720. Will a double pass at 720x720 give the same results (look and wash resistant) as a single pass 720x720 with FastCOLOR pre-treat?
Curing time 120 seconds at 330?
What is the suggested dpi for double pass image?
Dark 100% cotton shirts
Pre-treat
As per Sunnydaz suggestion, lightly mist shirt with distilled water, pre-treat on top of that, brush down in one direction, press for 15 seconds with paper, remove paper and press for another 15 seconds. Question, how much pre-treat do we spray on, must we make sure that the shirt is light grey coloured with pre-treat? By the way, our pre-treat solution is 75% pre-treat/ 25% distilled water.
Problem is this. White underbase prints patchy, looks like dots or water drops under the white underbase. Could this be because we spray on to little pre-treat? We tried printing at 720x720 with image dpi of 80, but found that this printed a poor underbase. What is the suggested dpi and underbase setting for printing on dark shirt?
Also, printing on high quality 100% cotton shirts seems to produce a poorer print as the ink seems to sit on top and not penetrating at all.
Curing time 120 seconds with paper on top, 30 seconds without paper at 330?
Suggestions and comments most welcome.
