High Gloss vs. Matte Finish?

What is more common to use for sports decals for vehicles and vehicle signs, high gloss vinyl or a matte finish. I know Oracal 651 comes in a high gloss finish (I haven't seen a matte color yet). But FDC carries Black, White and a few other colors in a Matte finish. What is more popular?
