Hi there, This is my first post but I've always liked being a lurker on here! I have a problem regarding a recent print. I have been printing for 5 years and never seen anything like this.

Did a two colour print onto Gildan 2000s - white discharge ink, flashed til activated then a black plastisol print. Cured through a tunnel dryer at the correct temperature.

Client has come back and said one of his customers has bought a shirt and washed it and the black print hasn't just faded it has come off in parts, moved in others - just totally bizarre. I'm thinking the client has washed it at a crazy hot temperature but I have honestly never seen anything like it. Any advice?

That looks to me as if the ink was not cured completely when ran through the dryer. You can always check this by "pulling" on the print after it's been cured. If it splits, run it back through your dryer.

Would that mean complete letters would be totally removed or moved at 40 degree angles like the last picture? I have never seen that even on an undercured garment.

hummm... that is a bit odd. Never seen the image "move" like that. I would still guess it has something to do with the curing process. Could possibly have something to do with the inks or combination of..?..

I'd say they ironed it. Nothing short of melting the Plastisol and pressing it down in a new place to cool would result in what you see.
